Song Arising (at last!)

It's more than a year since NOVA planned a concert all about the joy of singing, intended for performance when the Corona pandemic was over and people could sing again!
After many postponements and frustrations, it is with enormous pleasure that we invite you to help us break our silence.
SONG ARISING will at last take place, live and in person at All Saints, Clifton on September 26th at 7.30pm
As usual, there will be a wide variety of early music - songs from the 13th Century Montpellier Codex, the 15th Century Old Hall Manuscript, and motets by some of the great names of the Renaissance - Palestrina, Byrd, Lassus and others. On this occasion we are also stepping across some of our self-imposed musical boundaries to include two Baroque items: a remarkable anonymous piece of Bolivian Baroque, and the greatest of all celebrations of singing: J S Bach's motet 'Singet dem Hernn'.
Pre-booking is no longer required. Admission will be by programme (£10) available at the door, payable by card or cash.
All Saints is large enough for you to find your own preferred social distancing. The church is well-ventilated, and you can, of course, remain masked if you choose to.
We very much hope to see you on September 26th.
