Over 40 million people in America receive SNAP (food stamp) benefits, over 70 million are enrolled in Medicaid, and about 9 million receive Section 8 Housing Vouchers. Gerhard Glomm, Professor of Economics, will discuss some of the design features of these programs, with an emphasis on relatively recent changes such as work requirements. He will then share data on the costs and benefits of these programs. This event will be held at the Brown County Public Library, 205 Locust Lane, Nashville, IN.
