💫INVITATION TO MOVE💫😍Maryam and LadyFem invite you to join us for our April dance🔥This will be LadyFem's final dance before she heads overseas for winter... so this is your chance to immerse in one of her soundscapes! We're stoked to have the wonderful Maryam back guiding this dance with her beautiful voice, deep wisdom and ease of holding space. These two are great friends and hold a light, yet potent frequency together and we warmly welcome you to drop into something special this month 😍
Somatic Dance is a guided free form movement journey, delving deep into the layers of the body and held in a non-judgemental space where all of you is welcome. No prior dance experience is necessary and all bodies are welcome 🤗
There are no routines or steps to follow here, simply an invitation to discover how your body wishes to move. The guided facilitation is supported by a carefully curated soundscape overseen by a DJ 🎶
This dance is an invitation for you to come and move your body to the unique rhythm of you, supporting a deeper connection with yourself and others 💃🕺
This is a space free from alcohol, shoes and talking. Let the epic music and guidance of your facilitator carry you out of your mind and into your body, allowing yourself to experience the transformative power of Somatic Dance! The music takes the form of a wave, beginning gently before building to a peak, then settling back down to land softly and slowly.
We recommend wearing clothes you are comfortable moving in (layers are great), bring along a drink bottle and a drop or two of curiosity!
Our dance spaces are designed for adults to create a space where you are able to freely explore and express your authentic self, in whichever shape and form it happens to be expressing itself. As part of this, we request that alternate arrangements are made to care for any children while you attend. If you have a child you would like to bring along, please reach out to us and we can have a chat about whether it is a possibility 🥰

We have adopted a two tier ticket option:
$20 supported dancers, we want to continue to make our dances accessible
$25 supporting dancers, for those who feel more abundant and are able to support us
If price is a barrier to attending, please reach out to us and we can work something out, an additional hand with tasks on the day is often appreciated.

🎤 Maryam; Somatic Dance Facilitator 🎤
Born in Canada with Syrian and Iraqi heritage, Maryam is a wellness workshop facilitator and a Somatic Dance Teacher, with international training across several holistic modalities, including reiki & sensory touch therapy, yoga, cacao circle facilitation, and sound therapy. Through her comprehensive understanding of somatic practices, she harnesses the transformative power of movement, breath, and sound to guide individuals toward inner strength and embodiment. Maryam’s expertise in creating a safe and nourishing space allows participants to embark on a profound journey of self-connection and healing.
🎧🔊LadyFem; Soundscape Creatrix 🎧🔊
LadyFem has been journeying within the embodiment landscape for many years and resonates most deeply with practices steeped in tradition. She is a 300hour certified Somatic Dance Facilitator and Traditional Tantric practitioner. As a soundscape creatrix, she crafts multi-genre journeys which create intrigue, taking dancers through different movement expressions with sounds to tantilise all of the senses. A regular DJ within Somatic and Ecstatic dance spaces, she is skilled at curating soundscapes which transcend boundaries for people who want to move.
As a dance floor activator and container creator; she invites others into a fuller, more authentic expression of themselves. Her desire is to support and inspire you into deeper knowing of yourself as the radiant being you are.
