About this Event
~ Please note: This walkshop series is open to People of Colour only ~
Peaks of Colour's 🌳🫀Soma Sessions🫀🌳 are monthly spaces that invite global majority commujnities to deepen their connection with themselves, each other and the land.
Set in the Peak District, these informal and intimate sessions will offer an introduction to embodied and nature-allied practices that can assist in our healing from gendered and racialised trauma.
A space of repetition as Black Feminist practice (Foluke Taylor), and rehearsal as an abolitionist priority (Ruth Wilson Gilmore), Soma Sessions will support us to build capacity and resilience for a future in which the boundaries between our human bodies and our more-than-human landscapes are decomposed.
Session #11: Seeding Futures an Opening Ceremony w Muna McAdie
Join us for our Soma Sessions Opening Ceremony as we welcome spring and gift our hopes and intentions to the land. As Peaks of Colour enters an exciting new era we will renew our commitments to the earth through creative and holistic seeding rituals.
Held my Muna Mcadie, we will sow the seeds for our collective futures by crafting plantable prayer flags, curating land acknowledgements that harness the power of deep listening, practicing ancestral wind invocations and rooting ourselves
through somatic groundings.

About Muna McAdie
Muna’s practice is rooted in care for self, for community, and for the world, through regulated, resourced practice. She holds spaces where what is can be met softly, held in resonance, and allowed to unfold. Through sound and movement & psychotherapy, these offerings are grounded, spacious, and tenderly held, creating a container for presence, reflection, and quiet transformation.
