Solving the Great Food Puzzle
The world is waking up to the transformative power of food systems, but most efforts so far have been global. However, food systems are inherently local, rooted in the cultural heritage and values of each country. This global food system awakening must now pivot to national-level and landscape-level action. This is the Great Food Puzzle—finding local solutions to global problems. With the multitude of solutions available—many of which touted as silver bullets—it’s no surprise there’s confusion about which actions are needed to transform food systems.
The Great Food Puzzle approach helps stakeholders sort through this confusion by identifying science-based actions tailored to local contexts that will deliver the biggest wins for people and the planet in the shortest time.
