NYC AgTech Week 2024

NYC AgTech Week is hosted and produced by the a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2014 dedicated dedicated to the promotion of urban farming and AgTech initiatives, food equity, and education in NYC.

Now in its 9th year, this week-long event will bring together AgTech experts, innovators, and enthusiasts from around the globe both virtually and in-person. NYC AgTech Week runs from Tuesday, September 24th to Thursday, September 26nd 2024 across New York City, in partnership with NYC Climate Week.

Join us for a week of engaging panel discussions, dynamic farm tours and industry networking events, all designed to inspire and educate. At NYC AgTech Week, we'll explore the latest advancements in agricultural technology, sustainable farming practices, and food production; showcasing the urban farming ecosystem and providing an equitable, insightful, and valuable look into the intersecting states of AgTech, ClimateTech, food equity and urban farming today.

Whether you're a farmer, entrepreneur, investor, or simply passionate about the future of food and climate, this event is for you. Connect with like-minded individuals, discover groundbreaking solutions, and gain valuable insights from industry leaders.

NYC AgTech Week is notable for being the only AgTech Conference that is produced and organized by the pioneers of the industry themselves; No fancy production company, just our Board of founders, non-profit operators, advocates and farmers of some of New York City's most exciting AgTech organizations.

Day 1: Tuesday, 9/24 @ 5pm: NYC AgTech Week Kickoff Event (Panel Discusssion, Networking Happy Hour)

Join us for the NYC AgTech Week 2024 kickoff event at the Urbanstrong showroom in the Brooklyn Navy Yard! We will start with light bites and drinks and then transition into a fireside chat followed by networking opportunities in the showroom.

• Fireside Chat: Cultivating Urban Agriculture Policy in NYC (Including speakers from NYC Department of Urban Agriculture, USDA, annd more!)

Day 2: Wednesday, 9/25: Farm Tours, Panel Discusssion, Networking Happy Hour

• Farm Tour 1: Oko Farms Tour (Brooklyn, NY)
• Farm Tour 2: Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space (MoRUS) Lower East Side Community Garden and Sustainability Tour* (New York, NY)

• Panel Discussion: Power of Community: How Urban Agriculture has the Power to Sustain New Yorkers (including speakers from ReBorn Farms, Teens for Food Justice and other local organizations)
• Networking Happy Hour: Join us after the MoRUS tour for a networking happy hour in a local community garden in the Lower East Side

Day 3: Thursday, 9/26: Farm Tours & Locavore

• Locavore: Farm tours, panel discussion and networking at Farm.One (Brooklyn, NY)
• Farm Tour: Brooklyn Grange Navy Yard Rooftop Farm (Brooklyn, NY)
• Networking Happy Hour: Kings County Distillery (Brooklyn, NY)

The NYC Agriculture Collective is happy to offer scholarships to students and farmers in need. The scholarships cover the cost of the ticketed tours and select events.
