You Are Invited to the Solarpunkification Open Space Unconference
Saturday, March 7 · Afternoon · Mabuhay Gardens, 435 Broadway, San Francisco Part of Solarpunkification 2026: Creativity, Regeneration and Joy
Solarpunkification 2026 asks: What happens when a cultural space becomes a working laboratory for the futures we actually want? The Solarpunkification Open Space is where we find out — not through theory, but through conversation, friction, imagination, and the aliveness of being in a room together.
At 1pm we will open in circle, hold three sessions of an hour each — sessions that you propose and you lead — and close in circle again. Whatever matters most to the people in the room becomes the curriculum. Bring any idea, however half-formed. Bring a question you can't stop thinking about. Bring something you've been building. Bring something you need help imagining.
Come if you are a tinkerer, a dreamer, an ecologist, an artist, a systems thinker, a community weaver, a vibe coder, or simply someone who suspects that the world we want is more possible than the world would have us believe.
The agenda belongs to everyone who shows up. Come ready to offer something. Come ready to be surprised.

Upstairs: 1-2pm is the Opening Circle for Open Space <- arrive during this time to get your topic/question/activity on the agenda.
The venue becomes an open laboratory where participants propose and lead sessions, conversations, and experiments. UnPlug and Play activities (creative play, movement, art, unplugged experiences) are woven into the same open‑space grid, so everything lives inside one shared 1–6 PM container. Whatever matters most to the people in the room becomes the curriculum; bring questions, prototypes, practices, and projects you want to explore together.
We will have three time slots beginning at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm with a closing circle at 5pm.
UnPlug and Play together with Open Space ..
Simultaneously we will have an UnPlug and Play happening. Different activities with an explicit unplug and play theme will happen. They will be included as part of our unconfernece agenda creation.

• What’s one simple thing you’d love to normalize (rest, repair, asking for help, sharing tools)?
Imagination + future-making (playful, expansive)

• What does “radical collaboration” look like when it’s actually working?

• When conflict happens, what helps you stay connected?
Nature + place (ecology, kinship, attention)
• Where do you feel most connected to non-human life?
• What’s a local ecosystem you want to learn from (or protect)?
• What’s one “species teacher” for you (plant, animal, fungus, element) and why?
• What’s a place in SF/Oakland that feels like a portal to a better future?
Work + purpose (regenerative workplaces)
• What would a “regenerative” workday feel like in your body?
• What’s one meeting norm you’d abolish—and what would replace it?
• What’s a micro-experiment you’re willing to try this month to humanize your work?
A little deeper
• Where are you being asked to grow right now?
• What’s something you’re grieving—and what’s something you’re building?
“Make it concrete” prompts (great for action + pairing)
• What’s one resource you have in abundance (skill, time, tools, space) that you could share?
