About this Event

Learn how to make your own flexible, soft speaker in this beginner-friendly workshop! We’ll start with an overview of the components of speakers and then introduce the materials we will use: conductive thread, copper tape, fabric, paper and an amp. We’ll explore how various materials result in different sound quality and volume. All materials provided, but you are welcome to bring any scrap fabric you would like to experiment with.
No electronics experience required. Some sewing experience is helpful but not necessary. For anyone interested in electronic textiles, fabric arts, sewing, and DIY electronics.
