About this Event
Social Investment - what it is and how it can be used
As part of Humber Business Week, Giroscope is proud to partner with Chris Colwell (Key Fund) and Katherine Odom (Two Ridings Foundation) for an essential morning session on social investment.
Whether you are a new start-up, a developing community business, or a well-established social enterprise, this session is designed to introduce the basics of Social Investment.
What we’ll cover:
· Investment Readiness: How to become ready to take on social investment.
· Funding Options: Exploring different forms of social investment tailored for social good.
· Practical Resources: Tools and networks to help you succeed.
· Real-World Experience: Giroscope will share first-hand insights from establishing and scaling a variety of social enterprises.
Community Focus & Future Collaboration
This event will also profile the workspace and collaboration opportunities at St Matthew’s Community Enterprise Centre, specifically for Hull and HU3-based businesses.
We are also gauging interest in establishing a dedicated HU3 Social Enterprise Network. Join us to share your thoughts on building a collaborative community, with our first potential network event planned for late Autumn 2026.
