STORYTELLING
People and places have one thing in common: They have a story to tell. In this workshop, we will experiment with how to tell these stories together – in public space.
Storytelling is a two-way interaction between a storyteller and one to more listeners. Storytelling emerges from the interaction and co-operative coordinated efforts of the teller and the audience. But how can we do this in a crowded, public space? And how can we weave these stories together into something meaningful?
In this workshop, you will take on the role of an observer – you will be tasked with gathering information on how people behave in public spaces. And then we’ll try to make sense of it all together in an artistic setting!
ANETTE FRIEDRICH JOHANNESSEN (she/hers) is a multidisciplinary artist, working with performance, video, drawing and text-based work. The core element in her artistic practice is an investigation of sensory experience, repetition, minimal gestures and place identity, seeking to define different types of systems and how they relate to chaos and order. Anette is based in Bergen Norway, where she directs the art collective Performance Art Bergen. She holds a BFA from Camberwell College of Arts, London, and has participated in several festivals, exhibitions and events in Europe, USA and Asia.

Tarinankerronta: osallistava työpaja taiteilija Anette Friedrich Johannessenin kanssa (Performance Art Bergen).

Ihmisillä ja paikoilla on yksi yhteinen asia: niillä on tarina kerrottavana. Tässä työpajassa kokeilemme, miten näitä tarinoita voi kertoa yhdessä - julkisessa tilassa.
Tarinankerronta on kaksisuuntaista vuorovaikutusta kertojan ja yhden tai useamman kuulijan välillä. Tarinankerronta syntyy kertojan ja yleisön vuorovaikutuksesta ja yhteistoiminnallisista koordinoiduista ponnisteluista. Mutta miten tämä onnistuu tungoksessa, julkisessa tilassa? Ja miten voimme kutoa näistä tarinoista jotain merkityksellistä?
Tässä työpajassa otat tarkkailijan roolin - sinun tehtävänäsi on kerätä tietoa siitä, miten ihmiset käyttäytyvät julkisissa tiloissa. Ja sitten yritämme saada siitä kaikesta tolkkua taiteellisessa ympäristössä!
