Artist Bio — Terry HastingsTerry Hastings has called Palm Springs home since 2009, soaking up the desert light and turning it into art ever since. He started out as a photographer, and those photographs still serve as the launch point for his current work — scenes he simplifies, cleans up, and distills into calm, colorful versions of reality. He’s obsessed with how color and space can shift a mood, and he loves stripping a place down to its essentials until the atmosphere does all the talking.
This show brings together his two favorite sides: the reflective, sun‑washed desert pieces that capture the quiet magic of Palm Springs, and the sassier, more playful works that reveal his sense of humor and heat. Whether he’s painting a serene pool or a cheeky moment in the sun, Hastings creates worlds that feel both familiar and a little bit dreamy — like the desert itself.
