Soaring Melodies

Experience an uplifting afternoon of powerful orchestral music as the Adelphi Orchestra presents Soaring Melodies, conducted by Kyunghun Kim. This inspiring program features lyrical strings, virtuosic solo performance, and one of Beethoven’s most spirited symphonies.
The concert opens with Elgar’s Serenade for Strings, a beautifully textured work that highlights the warmth and expressiveness of the string section. Next, acclaimed violinist Miranda Isbitts takes center stage in Glazunov’s Violin Concerto, a dazzling Romantic showpiece filled with rich melodies and brilliant technique. The performance culminates with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2, a triumphant and joy‑filled symphony that helped usher in the composer’s middle period.
