Snow Raven featuring Misha Mishenko
“Prepare to embark on a breathtaking sound journey to the enchanting snowy landscapes of Arctic Siberia as expressed in the music of the internationally-known indigenous artist SNOW RAVEN , whose people, the Sakha, dwell in that region. Joining SNOW RAVEN is the talented MISHA MISHENKO , a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and sound producer whose artistry adds another layer of enchantment to this extraordinary concert.
Immerse yourself in the rich, mystical sounds of Sakha Shamanism, carefully crafted by SNOW RAVEN and her unique ensemble. The concert will feature a mesmerizing array of elements, including mouth harp, throat singing, arctic beatbox, and the art of mimicking the calls of birds and animals. Experience the traditional songs of the Sakha people and original compositions by SNOW RAVEN in English, creating a one-of-a-kind musical fusion that bridges cultures and time.
This concert will transport you through multiple realms and lead you back to the heart of yourself, your HOME!
In a world filled with distractions, "Home" serves as a musical sanctuary that inspires you to return to the heart of yourself, and to the Earth. The album's ethereal sounds and rhythms carry you on an inner voyage, urging you to rediscover the significance of your physical body as the ultimate dwelling place for your soul.
SNOW RAVEN - SUOR, is a mystic hailing from one of the most remote and frigid regions on Earth, the Republic of Sakha - Yakutia. From the age of three, she delved into the language of birds and animals, giving her voice a unique quality that draws from the wellspring of traditional Sakha culture. She is the originator of "arctic beatbox" – a technique that uses the breath of reindeer, and the visionary behind the OLOX ecosystem, where many beliefs converge into a common truth.
Notably, SNOW RAVEN has graced international stages and festivals, including America’s Got Talent 2020, Lightning in the Bottle, Lost Lands, The Elements, Lucidity Festival, and Burning Man. She has also taken her ethereal sounds to renowned events like the Sundance Film Festival and Bioneers ECOconference. With an impressive resume and appearances at TEDx Vermont and Yale University, she continues to inspire and uplift audiences worldwide.
SNOW RAVEN’s profound connection to her homeland, Sakha (Yakutia), shines through her music, offering you a unique opportunity to witness the beauty, wisdom, and power of her ancestors.
