About this Event
Join Indigenous Ethnobotanist Linzie Crofoot for a guided educational walk at Carnation Farms exploring the natural and agricultural history of the Snoqualmie Valley through the lens of land stewardship. Trace the landscape from millennia of Indigenous land management through agricultural expansion, to today’s working farms and restoration projects. The walk will highlight how regenerative and agroforestry practices are being applied to maintain productive farmland, support thriving habitats, and strengthen ecological function for future generations.
Learn about wapato, the native potato, live staking and even take live stakes home! Stay after for the Carnation Farm plant sale.
The walk is on mainly flat grass/farm terrain and around 1 mile.
