*TICKETING & DOOR POLICY*
Whilst we occasionally run ticketed Friday Night Specials, entry for our regular weekly Thursday club nights is on a first-come-first-served basis and unticketed and we do not take advanced seat bookings.
Entry for regular club nights is free, we pay our guests by way of a *CASH* collection. Whilst we understand that some simply haven't the means to make a contribution and absolutely DO NOT wish to exclude them, we expect those who can to make as generous a donation as they are able in recognition of our guest's work.
*PLEASE CHECK FOR UPDATES BEFORE SETTING OUT*
Life is full of unexpected ups and downs, illness, weather and other unexpected things can spoil the best made plans. We may sometimes have to change our guest at short notice, or even cancel an evening altogether. To avoid disappointment please re-visit the relevant night's event for updates *BEFORE* setting out.
*SNEZ
Coming from a Macedonian working-class family whose parents emigrated to Australia in the 1970's and raised in the shadow of the Port Kembla Steelworks, South of Sydney,Australian styoryteller and folk singer, SNEZ subtly weaves these stories into her own songs. Stories about hardship, romance, work ethic, poverty of Macedonia and the aching transition into Aussie working-class life which have been passed down through generations.
In 2009, SNEZ released her debut album 'Gypsy Soul', and there began her journey as a travelling storyteller, with guitar in hand, SNEZ has spent the last 15 years roaming remote and regional Australia, playing country halls, house concerts, indigenous schools and even refugee camps and camp fires along the way; squeezing her world into a camper-van for months at a time.
Some festival highlights include playing the Blue Mountains Music Festival, Cygnet Folk Festival - TAS, National Folk Festival - ACT, Illawarra Folk Festival - NSW, Fleurieu Folk Festival - SA.
Off the back of the success of her critically acclaimed album 'Fisher on the Sea', released during the pandemic, with wide rotation on the ABC Radio and airtime on MTV, CMT and Rage, 2026 sees and her debut tour of the UK.
"Joyful, defiant and vulnerable by turns" - MICHAEL SMITH, Rhythms Magazine
"Absolutely Beautiful" - CHRISTOPHER LAWRENCE, ABC Radio, Australia
"Snez is more than a storyteller. She's truly an 'open book' of songwriting in Australian music." - Australian Musicians Radio
"Snez is a chronicle of our times" - RUSSELL HANNAH, Illawarra Folk Festival
"Some great talent is unheralded out there, particularly in sparsely populated Australia... the turf that Snez, a true troubadour, travels relentlessly" - Clare Burgess, Director of Australian Songwriters Association
