Come down to Bobuska on Saturday, January 25th, and witness the debut of the brand new Americana duo, Snake Stew, along with a stellar set of original folk songs from the great Kristoffer Birkedal.
2025 sees the birth of a new Americana project by two old souls with young faces. Jonathan and Mikkel have joined forces in this duo where Mikkel’s love for indie-folk meets Jonathan’s obsession with traditional folk and country styles. Snake Stew is the name of their game, and this concert will be the full-set debut, coinciding with the release of a split single online the week before. The split single Babbling Fool / Withered Plants is the first taste of the Snake’s Stew, which has been simmering and boiling since the start of 2024.
Kristoffer Birkedal is a songwriter from Norway, with a wandering heart - starting to pave his way on the growing folk-scene in Scandinavia. For many years he lived in Denmark performing at venues, cafés, and bars with his soft voice and traditional finger-picking style. A familiar face on Copenhagen’s folk music scene, Birkedal has become a rare sight since returning to Norway. That’s why we feel blessed to welcome him back for this special evening celebrating original Americana and folk songs.
