SPECIAL NOTE: Our Short Film Open Mics are open to ALL moviemakers as long as we receive submissions in time. Although our November & December 2025 programs are all ready filled, we are taking submissions for 2026 months. We only have two criteria-movies must be 10mns or fewer and not intentionally hateful to any group of people. Other then this, we are not here to gatekeep and welcome all work. Secret Movie Club's Short Film Open Mics are back with November and December 2025 editions.
Talented local moviemakers screen their shorts, music videos, animations, and creative cinematic works of all kinds. Participants have had their shorts play at the Cannes Film Festival, star Amanda Seyfried, prove the launching grounds of feature work, and more.
We only have two rules for submissions. #1 Shorts must be 10mns or fewer. #2 Shorts can not be intentionally hateful to any group of people.
Other than that, we welcome the wide spectrum of work. From family friendly animations to intense controversial avant garde boundary pushing work.
Even if you don't have a short, this is a great opportunity to see what kind of work is getting made, meet fellow moviemakers, and maybe even form teams for future projects.
Filmmakers screening their work get two complimentary tickets. And we work to keep the ticket price low for everyone else. This is a chance to see exciting new work at the Million Dollar Theater Movie Palace with filmmakers writing the next chapter of cinema. Come and be part of the community.
