About this Event
At Upstart & Crow, we’re hard-pressed to think of a small press we don’t love. Biblioasis, Book*hug, Arsenal Pulp, Anvil… and those are just the Canadian ones. Small presses put out brilliant, groundbreaking books that punch way above their weight. That’s why we’re putting them at the centre of Upstart’s first ever book swap night.
How it works: You bring at least 2 books from your favourite small publishers (located anywhere around the world), that you’re willing to share with someone else. You swap each one for a new-to-you book from other folks! Simple, beautiful. Feel free to bring more than 2 books if you wish.
To help break the ice, you’re invited to swap your TBR lists too. Click for our template to fill out in advance.
Tickets are $15 and cover our staffing costs and light snacks. We are a non-profit and Living Wage BC employer, so thank you for your support. Please RSVP here.
