This weekly mindulness class is for people in recovery who feel unsupported and unappreciated. If you are working through your recovery and life still feels like a struggle. Constantly striving for productivity can leave you feeling burnt out, disconnected, and unfulfilled. When your mind is always on the next goal, feelings of anxiety increase.

Slow the Fuck Down is a weekly mindfulness-based recovery group designed for people like you—high-functioning, driven, and serious about recovery, but also aware of the risk of burning out. In this group, you’ll learn practical mindfulness techniques to slow down your racing mind, reduce stress, and cultivate self-acceptance. This isn’t about lowering your ambitions; it’s about learning to approach your goals without losing yourself in the process.
If you’re ready to break the cycle of constant striving and find a healthier rhythm in recovery, this group is for you. Join us, and start learning to slow the fuck down.
Each week we will:
- Investigate a mindfulness practice and how it works.
- Put these powerful tools to practice.
- Answer questions regarding practices.
- If you wish: Explore and share first-hand experience with the group.

- Grounding practices to break cycles of anxiety and overworking.
- Regain trust with yourself through breath meditations to reconnect with self.
- Mindfulness to uncover unexpressed beliefs.
- Understand the messages provided by emotions.
- Explore moment-to-moment practical self-care techniques.

Ken Dunn was 2,000 miles into the backpacking trip of a lifetime when it became clear that his next career chapter would be about more than just professional success—it would be about helping others find their connection with nature. As an ex-executive and tech professional, Ken brings a unique blend of experience, including over seven years of personal recovery, mentoring others, and founding a local recovery meeting.
Studying under Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield, Ken is a mindfulness meditation teacher in the insight meditation tradition. His life and coaching are infused with mindfulness, compassion and curiosity.
As founder and lead recovery coach of Expedition Recovery, he’s committed to leading clients on their own journeys of self-discovery. Ken is a Certified Peer Support Specialist, Certified Recovery Specialist, Certified Wilderness First Responder, and Certified Adventure Recovery Coach.
Ken brings resilience, discipline, and a deep sense of purpose to his work, guiding others toward meaningful and transformative experiences in recovery.
