Slippery People are hitting the stage for the very first time! Made up of Dan Kendrick, John Pinel and Ben Pearson, we’re diving into the darker, dancier corners of the 80s — think post-punk grooves, shadowy gems from around the world, and a splash of Flying Nun-flavoured Kiwi magic.
We’ve been cooking this up in practice rooms for a while now, and thanks to Matt at Red16 for backing us, it’s finally gig time! It’s on a Wednesday night, but we’re kicking off a bit earlier (around 7.30-ish), so you can get your dose of deep cuts and fun tracks from bands like The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Church, Talking Heads, Magazine, The Chills and more, without wrecking your Thursday.
