Display of Decay
Prepare for an unrelenting assault on your senses as Edmonton's very own death metal titans, Display of Decay, unleash their latest masterpiece, "Vitriol." Drawing inspiration from the early death metal pioneers like Cannibal Corpse, Malevolent Creation, and Cryptopsy, Display of Decay has crafted an album that pays homage to the brutal and aggressive roots of the genre while infusing their own unique sickness into the mix. Formed in 2007, Display of Decay is widely noted for bringing a unique blend of old-school death metal, with tinges of thrash and doom metal. Hailing from Edmonton, the band has spread their infection across North America, sharing the stage alongside other elite acts such as Kataklysm, Cattle Decapitation, The Faceless, Origin, Beyond Creation & more.
After five well-received indie releases (two EPs and 3 full-lengths), Display of Decay unleashed their fourth album “Vitriol” featuring eight aural assaulting tracks that set the mosh pits ablaze. “Vitriol” was released October 20th, 2023 via Gore House Productions.
"Vitriol" is an auditory journey into a realm of relentless brutality, where thundering drums, guttural vocals, and savage guitar riffs converge to create a sonic onslaught that leaves no room for compromise. The album's title aptly captures the corrosive nature of the music contained within – a raw, unfiltered expression of musical aggression that grips you from the very first note and doesn't let go.
