Skybound as Titans - Dance Performance and Artist Talk

Chimaera Gallery is proud to present Skybound as Titans, a solo exhibition by transmedia artist Tyler Kline, on view from March 8–29, 2025. This multi-dimensional exhibition fuses mythology, speculative science, and interspecies kinship into a striking meditation on humanity’s place within an interconnected universe.

Skybound as Titans unfolds as an expansive narrative, incorporating AI-assisted portrait paintings, CAD-aided bronze sculptures, and an evolving cosmology that challenges our notions of identity, evolution, and the ethics of planetary expansion. Kline’s AI-generated portraits depict humans transformed through telepathic communion with the Kai-Sawn, a hyper-sentient species beneath Europa’s icy crust, while his intricate bronze sculptures serve as artifacts of an imagined future where humanity collaborates across species rather than dominates. The exhibition draws upon Baroque portraiture, New Objectivity, and post-humanist thought, proposing a future shaped by symbiosis, adaptability, and radical imagination.

Join us at Chimaera Gallery on Saturday, March 29, from 2–5 PM for a special closing event celebrating Skybound as Titans, the latest exhibition by Tyler Kline. This dynamic afternoon will feature a dance performance at 2:30 PM, showcasing two original pieces choreographed by Megan Bridge in response to Kline’s work.Skybound as Titans invites viewers into a world in flux, where the boundaries between human, machine, and otherworldly intelligence dissolve into a shared vision of the future.

Following the performance, Tyler Kline will give an artist talk, offering insight into the inspirations and creative processes behind Skybound as Titans. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with the artist and experience the intersection of movement and visual art.
