So Kids Soar: In the Kitchen with Patrick & Milan
So Kids SOAR is very excited to welcome back our Your Path to Success graduates Patrick Green and Milan King to lead their fourth in-person adaptive cooking clinic!
WHAT: So Kids SOAR will be bringing together youth with physical and developmental disabilities, their families, and volunteers for a morning in the kitchen. Patrick & Milan's recipe will be shared shortly.
WHO: This event is open to youth and young adults from ages 10-30 with disabilities of any type.
Participants- This clinic is open to youth with physical and developmental disabilities - their siblings are welcome too! No previous experience is required. Instructors and equipment will be provided for all participants. Just show up- So Kids SOAR will take care of the rest!
Volunteers- Must be at least age 15 or over and have been a previous So Kids SOAR volunteer; those who register who are not first-time volunteers must email Glenda Fu at [email protected] first. Volunteers - please note that there will be no area for your belongings, please keep your important items with you at all times or leave them locked in the car. We are not liable for lost, stolen, or missing items.
WHEN: Saturday, February 28th, 2026 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM EST.

So Kids SOAR está muy emocionado de dar nuevamente la bienvenida a nuestros graduados del programa Your Path to Success, Patrick Green y Milan King, quienes liderarán su cuarta clínica presencial de cocina adaptativa, ¡donde estaremos cocinando!
QUÉ: So Kids SOAR reunirá a jóvenes con discapacidades físicas y del desarrollo, a sus familias y a voluntarios para pasar una tarde en la cocina. La receta de Patrick y Milan se compartirá próximamente.
QUIÉN: Este evento está abierto a jóvenes y adultos jóvenes de entre 10 y 30 años con discapacidades de cualquier tipo.
Participantes: Esta clínica está abierta a jóvenes con discapacidades físicas y del desarrollo; ¡sus hermanos también son bienvenidos! No se requiere experiencia previa. About our cooking instructors:
- Milan King has been an employee with Safeway (King St.) for the past 3.5yrs as their Bakery Clerk. Here at the Safeway; Milan continues to demonstrate her passion, knowledge and skills within the Culinary Arts Industry. Her tasty pastry treats, food safety (ServSafe), and customer service skills continue to build her self-confidence and empowerment. Milan is also a Culinary Arts Management student at Howard Community College (Columbia, MD) working on her Certificate. This certificate will further create opportunities within in the Culinary Arts/Baking & Pastry Management field. Milan has also started her entrepreneurship journey by creating Le' Tulip Bakery, LLC. This ability to create a lane for herself along with constant creativity and professionalism has made one of her ultimate dreams come true. Milan was also awarded the 2022 Participant of the Year award during the Annual Holiday Celebration. Milan continues to aspire others and leads by example from hosting Virtual Cooking Clinics (Solo) to In Person Cooking Clinic with her colleague Patrick.
-Patrick Green is a longtime So Kids SOAR participant and a 2020 Your Path to Success graduate! Patrick received our 2021 participant of the year award. Patrick has been teaching virtual and in person clinics for So Kids SOAR since January 2021. Patrick is a natural born leader with an amazing ability to connect with others. He fell in love with cooking at a young age and loves watching cooking shows in his free time. He is currently employed at Dogtopia as a canine coach. He has also worked at Homegoods, Chick-Fil-A and So Kids SOAR! Patrick is excited to be working to start Your Path to Success Graduate social group.
