Sketch comedy has been mostly absent since March 2020, so Crossroads partnered with Curt Riedy (Philly Sketchfest) to gather some of the best in the area to fill a block with some of their favorite sketches. ABOUT HIGH DRAMMA
Performing since 2008, High Dramma is an independent sketch comedy troupe that blends traditional sketch comedy and intertwines it with the unique musical stylings of a mad banjo player. The troupe aims to provide a finely balanced mix of high-minded vulgarity and low-brow sophistication.
ABOUT CRYING ALONE IN THE SHOWER
Crying Alone In The Shower is a monologue project between Philly sketch performers Julia Hudson (Barbara Bush, Sweetish, All Nite Deli) and Brian Craig (Secret Pants, Sweetish). Created as an outlet for deeply introspective solo material considered too personal for their other sketch groups, CAITS filter confessional vulnerability through the mask of character studies and monologues... but, like, in a funny way. Brian and Julia have performed together and separately on festival stages in Chicago, Baltimore, New York, Toronto, Montreal, and Indianapolis, as well as in their home city of Philadelphia.

COVID GUIDELINES: All performers will be fully vaccinated, will be performing without a mask, and will be at least 10 feet from the closest audience members. All audience members and audience facing staff will be required to wear a mask. Seating will be spaced to allow for social distancing. If the CDC and/or the city of Philadelphia ease restrictions, those changes will be considered before being implemented. All audience members are expected to comply with our theater's requests regarding these important public health matters. If the City of Philadelphia eases restrictions prior to this performance these guidelines may change.
