WELCOME
Sketch & Cafe runs a series of not-for-profit meet ups for creatives at all levels to chat, chill and sketch in different cafes around Manchester, UK. It's a cafe tour for creatives who wants meet similar minded people, hang out and make space for drawing for the sake of enjoyment. Upcoming events & updates are posted on
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Intro & warm up activities.
- Time for free flow drawing with suggestions.
- Organised table swapping to meet others in the group.
- Wholesome vibes.
WHO'S IT FOR:
- Anyone who wants to draw, whether you're just starting or pro, all levels are welcomed.
- A space to simply be you, play & explore. No negative comparison allowed.
- A chance to meet similar minded people.

WHAT MATERIALS TO BRING?
- Something to draw on
- Any tools you'd like to draw with or try out (Keep it simple to start)
COST:
- Recommended donation based on feedback: £8 + eventbrite fee. Donations keep these meet ups accessible and sustainable.
- Order a drink or a bite to eat to support the local business. It's fun to try out new treats!
FACILITATOR:
Hi I'm Jenny, I illustrate and make videos sharing my art journey on youtube (spottedjournal). I'm a foodie who loves to explore and always up for a deep and meaningful conversation. I believe it's never too late to build a life we love. Being a creative can get lonely and I noticed a lot of us feel similar. That's why I created Sketch & Cafe, a space where sketchers hang out, draw without judgement & chat over cake & cuppas.

HOW TO JOIN:
- Book your seat here on eventbrite, bring something to draw with & come along, that's it.
- Drop-in If you're around, feel free to come and check whether there's last minute spaces, we will try to squeeze you in, you can donate upon arrival.
- Cancellations - Letting me know that you can't make it 7 days before the event, will allow another creative to join. Please email [email protected] asap, so I can let others know there's space.

I was nervous going to my first sketch and cafe session, but I really didn't need to be as everyone was so lovely and helpful and encouraging. It was so inspiring seeing the range of work everyone was producing and it felt so relaxed too. I was made to feel very welcome and had such a great time. My only criticism is that it went too fast. This is genuinely one of the warmest spaces I’ve found in Manchester. Pure good relaxed energy. Jenny has really curated the events for people to both casually socialize and also explore more inventive ways to sketch. It’s truly a no judgment zone and I love it.
