Sydney’s underground sound takes over Tumbalong Nights with a free double bill from Skeleten and Ashkan Shafiei. Skeleten, the solo project of Russell Fitzgibbon, brings a hazy, dancefloor-ready mix of trip-hop, dream pop and electronic textures, fresh from his acclaimed album Mentalized. Joining him is Ashkan Shafiei, whose sound blends Persian folk traditions with jazz and funk, creating something both deeply rooted and entirely contemporary. Part of Vivid Sydney, Tumbalong Nights delivers 23 nights of free live music at Tumbalong Park, showcasing a diverse mix of international artists, Australian talent, emerging acts and DJs.
