About this Event
Inventions for defence purposes often have found their way into everyday use. This talk highlights some of those that emerged in the war/post war period and came from scientists based in Malvern. The ideas grew from the need to defend Britain in the build up to WWII and then in the Cold War. The inventions are now in common use and many of the users may be unaware of their origins and that they own examples of them.
