There is something powerful that happens when Black women gather around a table.
Not to perform.
Not to explain.
But to be seen, heard, and held in community.
Sistas & Stories: An Enrollment Dinner for Black Women’s Health is an intimate evening created for 40 Black women in Philadelphia to come together for meaningful conversation about health, wellness, and the experiences that shape our lives — and to participate in research that centers our voices.
This is a FREE dinner event.
This is not a conference.
Not a panel.
Not a lecture.
It is a thoughtfully curated dinner experience — a warm, beautiful space to connect, reflect, and engage in honest dialogue about what it means to care for ourselves while carrying so much for others.
Throughout the evening, we will explore:
- How stress, access, environment, and care impact Black women’s health
- The realities of prioritizing wellness in demanding seasons of life
- Why Black women’s voices have too often been missing from health research
- What it means to be truly included in shaping the future of care
As part of the evening, guests will have the opportunity to enroll in the VOICES of Black Women study — a national research initiative led by the American Cancer Society focused on understanding Black women’s health over time.
Who This Dinner Is For
This event is for:
Black women ages 25–55 who live in the U.S. and have never been diagnosed with cancer.
You do not need to be sick.
You do not need to be high-risk.
Your everyday life is the data.
Enrollment will be supported on-site with step-by-step guidance for anyone who chooses to participate. There is no pressure — only space, clarity, and choice.
