MEET THE GUEST SPEAKER:

Louella Carr leads the delivery of North Sydney Council’s business sustainability program, working with the local commercial sector to reduce waste, improve energy efficiency, and prepare for upcoming regulatory changes (including FOGO and mandatory climate reporting).

Louella is passionate about accelerating our transition to a circular economy, having previously managed Circular Australia’s nationwide Taskforce program. She believes circularity is a bridge to connect businesses with sustainability, because keeping materials and their value in use for longer ‘just makes sense’.

The Florimond Volckaert Fund

The Florimond Volckaert Fund (FVF) is a solidarity aid fund established to provide financial assistance to Skålleagues and their immediate families in serious need. Created in 1954 in the name of Skål International's founder, Florimond Volckaert, the fund is an International aid tool for members and their families going through tough economic times.

The funds available for grants come from voluntary contributions by individual Skålleagues, Clubs, National and Area Committees, encouraging a spirit of solidarity and International cooperation among Skål International members.

In support of this worthy cause, Skal International Sydney North encourages members to donate in lieu of a fine session.
