February 24th - "Confronting Ageism in the Marketplace"
Contemporary societies and markets continue to be characterized by youth-obsessed cultures that frame aging as a disadvantage, often overlooking women aged 50+ despite their high spending habits. About the Series
Sip and Learn is a lecture series where professors give lectures in bars around Toronto. The goal is to allow people to learn in a social setting, to step outside what they do every day for work, and to access real academic ideas without having to go back to university.
We cover a wide range of topics, from psychology and relationships to economics, culture, technology, and more. The lecture changes each week, but the core stays the same, learning in community and being exposed to ideas you would not normally encounter in your day to day life.
