We invite you to join us as the Marian Anderson Historical Society’s Director of Music Dr. Jay Fluellen walks us through the deep meaningful rich history of the American Negro Spiritual and it’s significance to the fabric of American and World Music. This deep dive into the sacred Spirituals will also encourage participants to look forward in its beauty with a Remastering of arrangements of these treasured pieces for our generation and generations to come. Vocalists and Musicians will participate in this workshop from 10am – 12:30pm, with buffet lunch at 12:30pm and a Concert presentation of the Music at 2pm.
