SINGAPORAMA Part V - VII
By Navin Rawanchaikul
Singapore | English | 2026 | 47 min 4 sec | Rating TBC
Join us for a gathering over food, conversations, and a special screening of the final three chapters of the "SINGAPORAMA" travelogue. Journey across Singapore with artist Navin Rawanchaikul as he connects with artists and communities across the island. From conversations with the LGBTIQ+ community as well as The Goodman Community Farm, where shared labour cultivates sustainability and care, to Orang Laut SG, foregrounding the heritage and living presence of Singapore’s indigenous sea people, each encounter offers a distinct lens on the city.
The gathering will also feature a live poetry sharing by writer MR Mizan, alongside a self-serve melting pot of biryani and chendol for all to enjoy.

About the Speakers
Navin Rawanchaikul was born in 1971 in Chiang Mai, and is a Thai artist of Hindu-Punjabi heritage whose practice centres on collaboration, storytelling, and social engagement. Since 1994, he and his team formed Navin Production to develop participatory projects to introduce art into the lives of everyday people. His work explores globalisation, memory, and diasporic experiences and identity through billboards, films, installations, and community events. Rawanchaikul has exhibited widely at major international institutions and participated in leading art festivals. His works are held in prominent museum collections worldwide, and he represented Thailand at the 2011 Venice Biennale.
Mizanur Rahaman was born in Bangladesh into a family where love was often overshadowed by harsh realities. After earning a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, he moved to Singapore, leaving behind his home and culture. He began his career as a shipyard Safety Supervisor but found solace in writing. A naturally shy person, Mizanur uses writing to express his thoughts and feelings, often losing work due to his reluctance to publish. Singapore, with its development, cleanliness, and discipline, deeply inspired him, leading to a series of writings dedicated to the city. He writes primarily poetry and short stories, some of which have been published in magazines and by various publishers.
