You may want to include herbal tinctures in your Herbal Medicine Cabinet. Making them yourself means you can customize the blend and its strength to meet your personal needs. Handmade tinctures are much more cost effective and your herbs will have a longer shelf life
Herbal tinctures are concentrated liquid extracts. They are made from different parts of the plant including dried leaves, bark, berries, roots or fresh leaves that are then preserved in alcohol. The part used is determined by where the plant stores the active ingredients and what the medicine is to do for the body. They are simple and fun to make.
