About this Event
The Shadowmaker is an evocative and immersive multimedia show created by award-winning British electronic music producer Simon Shackleton and filmmaker Chele Gutek. Bringing together live electronic performance, cinematic visuals, storytelling, and archival footage, this “living documentary” explores themes of vulnerability, resilience, and creative freedom in a format unlike any other.
Simon Shackleton is no stranger to Denver’s music scene. Since supporting The Crystal Method at the Ogden Theatre in 1998, he has captivated audiences with sold-out shows alongside The Fantastic Hosts at legendary venues like Beta, City Hall, and NORAD. Now, with The Shadowmaker, he returns to Denver with something entirely new—an intense and intimate journey through sound, story, and visual art that invites audiences into the heart of his 30-year career.
Featuring haunting compositions from his new album performed live alongside world-class drummer Jez Noble, The Shadowmaker is a powerful blend of introspective electronica and narrative artistry. This groundbreaking show is deeply personal and emotionally resonant, making it a can’t-miss experience for fans of immersive and innovative live music.
The evening concludes with a post-show reception soundtracked by a special Reconstructed Mix of re-imagined album tracks transformed into a more club-friendly framework.
The Shadowmaker show takes place at the historic Holiday Theatre. Originally built in 1914, this stunningly renovated venue now features plush seating and a modern bar serving signature cocktails and cinema-style snacks, making it a perfect setting for this immersive journey.
