Welcome to Silent Sit Sundays! Join us for a peaceful and rejuvenating experience every Sunday. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life and immerse yourself in a serene atmosphere. This in-person event is the perfect opportunity to practice mindfulness and connect with like-minded individuals. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced meditator, everyone is welcome to participate. Come and unwind with us this Sunday!
New to meditation, great!
Come sit with us and enjoy this communal gift. An Open Level Meditation class cultivating the foundations that allow you to enter and maintain the meditative state, allowing cathartic release, and ensperience our restful, tranquil and peaceful nature.
We'll begin with some gentle energy liberating movement focused on joint mobility, followed by light Breathwork, and we'll end with a guided, silent meditation period.
Guidelines:
Remember meditation is best practiced in a nourished body yet with an empty stomach.
Give yourself 2 hours for digestion before your sit.
Prepare the nasal passages by removing excess mucus, the use of a Netti pot or other means that are specific for this purpose and also expectorant herbs help with clearing of airways.
Your natural "after shower" scent is best. Heavy perfumes are distracting to our practice.
Wear loose fitting clothing to allow full range of motion, especially in the abdominal area for ease of breathing.
