SHERLOCK JR TRAILER:

Starring and directed by the legendary Buster Keaton, Sherlock Jr. tells the story of a sweet-tempered cinema projectionist who longs in his heart to be a detective. When his fiancée is robbed and he’s framed for the crime, he deploys his amateur mystery-solving skills to try and catch the villain. Sadly, he’s not much of a sleuth. But at least in his dreams, he can embody the suave and unflappable Baker Street consulting detective.

THE ARTIST TRAILER:

It’s 1927 and George Valentin (Jean Dujardin) is Hollywood’s most sought-after screen idol. As he enjoys the success and adulation of his latest picture, The Russian Affair, he even takes the time to help out a young dancer, Peppy Miller, who’s looking for her big break. But soon fortunes shift; his studio, Kinograph, has decided to shift focus to the new talkies that are all the rage, and George, unwilling to adjust, finds his star falling as Peppy’s is on the rise. Peppy, who appreciates everything George has done for her, tries to help as best she can. But George himself will have to decide where, or if, he fits in this new and unrecognizable era of show business.

This screening is held in the Historic Duncan Auditorium. This space utilizes open seating for this event; seat selection is not required.
