About this Event
Anyone and everyone are invited to a free full-scale theatrical night of Drag performances at The College of Staten Island in our second annual series. Three drag queens, Lagoona Bloo (America's Got Talent, The Voice), Hibiscus (Drag Brunch & US Army Veteran), and Britney Virazzano (former Miss Paradise & native Staten Islander), will dazzle and delight the audience. The performances will be followed by a panel discussion with Professor Chris Verene, Q&A with the audience, and a meet and greet with the stars of the show. This is a not-to-be-missed event with nationally-recognized talent!
This event is organized by the CSI LGBTQ+ Resource Center and Department of Performing and Creative Arts. This event is made possible by generous funding from the New York City Council to the CUNY LGBTQIA+ Consortium, and supported by the LaGuardia and Wagner Archives.

Lagoona Bloo is a musician, actor and drag artist based in New York City. Since 2021, the self-titled “Mermaid Popstar” has released her debut EP AQUA and debut studio album Underwater Bubble Pop, showcasing her three-octave range with blissed-out synth anthems that redefine the intersection between pop music and drag. She has appeared on television shows such as America’s Got Talent, The Voice, and Nailed It! In 2024 she originated the role of Tuna Turner in the Off-Broadway hit Drag: the Musical.
Hibiscus has been doing drag for 10 years. A former Miss Stonewall (2018), Hibiscus has used her art and platform to uplift and raise money for the LGBTQ+ community. Raising money for Immigration Equality, The Trevor Project, NYC Anti Violence Project, Trinity Place Shelter, and Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative to name a few. Hibiscus is tiny but she’s a firecracker who lights up the stage with high energy dance numbers. A decade in the industry you can catch her performing at one of her weekly shows at Industry Bar & Hush Bar in Hells Kitchen, The Stonewall Inn & The Monster Bar in the West Village, or hosting the 3 time Glam Award winning “NYC Best Drag Brunch” in Astoria at Frescos Grand Cantina every Sunday. Hibiscus believes in hard work really pays off and always encourages others to work hard to achieve their goals and dreams.
Britney Virazzano is a native Staten Island drag queen. She has been performing and working in the New York night life scene since 2013. She has donated countless hours of her time to help raise money for local LGBTQIA+ charities. When she is not dancing and performing for the masses she is running a florist on the south shore of Staten Island. She is a trained dancer, wig stylist and graphic artist which she uses in all aspects of her drag career to create the perfect persona.
