Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the Chi Upsilon Omega Chapter, proudly partners with VyStar Credit Union to present a free community event, “Shred to Protect,” a secure and eco-friendly way to dispose of unwanted paper. What kind of paper? Old bank statements, credit card bills and loan documents, medical records, tax returns, expired identification cards, credit cards and more.
This is XYQ’s second year collaborating on the project with VyStar. It’s a perfect fit for the Sorority’s International Program Initiative, “Enhance Our Environment.” One of the focus areas is “shredding.”
“Shred to Protect” is a great way to declutter at home, and at the same time, accomplish our goal of reducing the burden on landfills and natural resources.
