Learn how to turn your phone into a powerful filmmaking tool at the Shoalhaven First Nations Film Festival Smart Phone Workshops, taking place on Friday 8 May at the Ellmoos Centre in Sussex Inlet.Led by award-winning filmmaker Angela Blake, founder of SF3, the world’s largest smartphone film festival, this hands-on masterclass is designed to transform the way you create content using your everyday device.
Participants will be guided through the fundamentals of storytelling, including how to craft a compelling screenplay, use cinematic composition and lighting, and confidently edit footage to produce polished, festival-quality films.
Whether you are a beginner or an emerging creator, this workshop offers practical skills you can apply immediately.
Two sessions are available across the day.
The morning session is tailored for Sussex Inlet Public School students, while the afternoon session is open to members of local First Nations communities.
With limited places available, early booking is essential.
