A route with never ending views across this rugged Peak District landscape.

Who will be your guide?

I’m Sara, an ambassador for Peak Outdoor Community and I’m a Hill and Moorland Leader based in West Sheffield. I've always loved spending time outside and keeping active and my passion for the outdoors has grown even more over the last few years! I love to share my enthusiasm for adventure with others!

Transport:

We'll be meeting at Errwod Hall Car Park (google map). This is a free car park (correct at time of typing).

We will meet at 9.50am to leave at 10am.

What to bring:

  • Hiking boots or trail shoes with ankle support
  • Snacks/lunch
  • Rucksack
  • Water (at least 1L)
  • Waterproofs and warm layers
  • Hat and gloves
  • Walking Poles (optional)
  • A small first aid kit with any personal Medic*tion

Terrain:

Mostly trails and footpaths, some uneven and rocky areas, possibly some muddy sections.

Toilets:

There are no toilets at the car park, and none along the way on the walk so we may have to embrace the good old ‘wild wees’ whilst we’re out!

Safety:

The whole point of the walk is to be an enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone so we will keep to a steady pace to suit the group. It's about taking in the views, learning about the history and geology of the area and being in nature, not about rushing to the finish line. Having said that, you are responsible for your own health and safety and with all outdoor activities, there can be risks involved. If you are unsure as to whether you are fit to come on this walk, please either consult your doctor or let me know your concerns. Please inform me of any medical conditions prior to the walk.

I am a qualified Hill and Moorland Leader and I am level 3 Outdoor First Aid trained so I will be on hand in case of an emergency.

Dogs:

Dogs are more than welcome to come along, however, there may be livestock around and potentially other dogs, so they will need to stay on a lead for parts of it.

Refund Policy:

Refunds will only be given if the event is cancelled. If you can no longer attend you are more than welcome to sell your ticket to someone else but please let me know if you do so.

And FINALLY:

This walk will be going ahead whatever the weather, unless I deem the conditions dangerous so be ready to embrace the good old British weather! If I do have to cancel the walk for safety reasons, I will suggest one more date for the walk to be rearranged or you can redeem your ticket on one other walk on a date suitable to you.
