Shetland Story Slam | Open-mic, true, personal storytellingJoin us for the second Shetland Story Slam, a night of live, personal storytelling. Come along as an audience member, or put your name forward to tell a story.
Shetland Story Slam is inspired by the award-winning Moth storytelling events, first held in New York City 25 years ago.
What the audience said about the first Shetland Story Slam event:
"A really lovely event, with wonderfully varied stories and a supportive and appreciative audience. Felt like a very special evening."
"I thought the Story Slam was fantastic. The fact that the storytellers were prepared and rehearsed gave the whole event a sense of structure, which made it even more engaging without seeming 'staged'. I loved the variety of stories and how thought-provoking they were. I felt like I got a lot out of simply being a spectator."
"Still reeling after a truly wonderful night, a very special event and so glad I was one of the lucky ones that was there!"
"Heart-warming and inspiring!"
