Get ready to celebrate the start of the SIS mountain bike season with fellow women and nonbinary shredders! We’re hosting our annual Spring Kick-Off Party at Old Stove Brewing (Ship Canal) on May 17th, and you’re invited to join the fun.
Before the party, we’re offering an optional MTB 101 Talk & Q&A for those who are new to mountain biking or looking to brush up on the beginner essentials.
Cost: $0. Optional donation to SheJumps ($10 suggestion)

Don’t know anyone going? No worries! This is the perfect chance to meet rad humans who share your love for riding dirt trails.

MTB 101 Talk & Q&A
Time: 3:00–4:00 PM (first hour of the kick-off)
Presenters: Alicia & Julie
This free session is designed for women and nonbinary folks who are new to mountain biking.
We’ll cover:
-Essential gear and safety tips
-Body basics and trail readiness
-Local trail knowledge
-How to get started confidently for a fun and safe season
We’ll end the chat with a Q&A to help you with any burning questions you might have. Set yourself up for a summer of shredding with confidence!

Time: 4:00–7:00 PM
-Drinks & food available for purchase
-Meet new friends, share stoke, and plan some adventures together
-Get a sneak peek at the estimated event dates for this season
Facility & accessibility information:
- The venue is ADA accessible, with the inside area being paved. The outdoor area is gravel. There are no stairs. There is seating and standing room.
- The bathrooms are gendered and are on the ground floor.
- Parking: Parking lot of about 20 spots, then there is street parking available!
- Transportation: Bus transport with stops nearby

Since this is a free event to register for, you can cancel at any time in your Eventbrite account. Please cancel ahead of time or email the event lead if you cannot attend so we know not to look for you the day of the event! Optional donations made during registration will not be refunded.
