About this Event
It’s the early 70s in the Bronx and a new cultural movement is emerging combining four elements: deejaying, rapping, graffiti painting and B-boying which encompasses hip-hop dance, style and attitude. Narrated by Hip-Hop personified, the show traces the genre’s journey from its gritty origins to its global influence, unfolding as a coming-of-age story of one of the most impactful art forms of all time.
Chicago’s very own Q Brothers Collective who have collaborated with UIC Theatre on Rome Sweet Rome and Da Mixtape are taking on this most ambitious jukebox, immersive experience, musical which will take us on a roller coaster evening of music, dance, singing and graffiti art.
Paid parking is available at the Structured Lot at 1100 West harrison Street.
