Shared Knowledge, Safer Prisons

Join us at the first in-person Health and Justice Learning Hub conference – Shared Knowledge: Safer Prisons.

We are really excited to bring together staff from across London prisons representing healthcare, Pr*son operations and safety teams.

The day is a chance to meet colleagues from across the system to hear about some of the current issues around healthcare and Pr*son safety and the solutions and good practice put in place to try to improve them. We are hoping for an interactive day with the chance to learn from others, share your ideas and think together about wider solutions.

We will be hearing from a range of people with relevant insights and using these talks to kick off some thinkning and discussion around realistic improvements that can be applied in the challenging context in which we work.

Topics include:

• A legal perspective on working with coroners
• Tackling the challenges of communication
• The current picture in London prisons
• Good practice in multi-agency work
• Staffing changes to enhance safety

We would love to have representation from across disciplines and grades to allow a full and rich conversation about this work and to maximise the impact of this learning going back into sites and helping to influence change.
