About this Event
Bringing together players from around the world, we will be exploring the Japanese shakuhachi flute with a programme consisting of:
FILM SCREENING:
‘Future is Primitive’ (2016) by Katsuya Nonaka. A 50min documentary exploring 2 of the artists practices: shakuhachi and skateboarding. It raises questions about how both cultures have been boxed in by such widespread development and urbanisation in Japan.
