About this Event
Event Description
An evening of Shakespeare, right on the river.
Join Minneapolis Downtown Parks and Classical Actors Ensemble for a free outdoor performance of The Tempest—part of CAE’s 12th season of Shakespeare in Our Parks.
Directed by Joseph Papke, this production brings one of Shakespeare’s final and most imaginative plays to life with a mix of magic, humor, and heart. After years of exile, Prospero conjures a storm to bring his enemies to him—what follows is a story of power, forgiveness, and what it means to move forward.
Expect a lively, accessible performance with live, modern music woven throughout—set against the backdrop of the Mississippi River.
This is what summer nights in the parks are all about.
