ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
Join Tinuke Craig for a workshop that reimagines Shakespeare for young audiences. This session asks - how do we make 400 year old plays connect with children today, and empower their encounter with Shakespeare? This workshop is open to all, but is particularly focussed on directors and makers interested in arts education and making theatre for and with young people.

Tinuke trained as a director at LAMDA. Directing includes: A Raisin in the Sun (Headlong Tour), The School for Scandal (Royal Shakespeare Company), The Big Life (Theatre Royal Stratford East), Blue (ENO, London Coliseum), Trouble in Butetown (Donmar Warehouse), Jitney (Leeds Playhouse 2021 and The Old Vic 2022) Last Easter (Orange Tree Theatre), Crave (Chichester Festival Theatre), Hamlet For Young Audiences (Dorfman and National Theatre Tour 2020 and 2021), Cinderella (Lyric Hammersmith), Vassa (Almeida Theatre), The Color Purple (Leicester Curve/Birmingham Hippodrome and UK Tour), random/generations (Chichester Festival Theatre), I Call My Brothers (Gate Theatre), dirty butterfly (Young Vic).

PAY WHAT YOU CAN or PAY IT FORWARD:
Offering affordable training is at the heart of our charitable objectives. Though classes with our practitioners usually cost upwards of £30, we offer places at a pay-what-you-can rate. For some, this might mean paying 1p. For others, paying more means you’re covering our facilitators fee and staffing costs, making it possible for us to host future PWYC workshops seasons. We give a suggested figure of £15 for those who can.
Attendees must be 18+
