I loved the session and thought it was delivered really well. Very engaging and informative.

This extended workshop offers approaches to the different ways in which heightened texts can be interpreted to speak to modern audiences. Starting with an exploration of the development of Shakespeare’s verse techniques (by comparing the differences between his early and late plays) it also examines how to approach Shakespearean prose. But Shakespeare didn’t stand alone. The session also examines how writers like Marlowe influenced Shakespeare and how Shakespeare in turn was a clear influence on others such as Webster and Middleton.
