Bringing three underground extreme metal bands to Halifax, this will be a night of nasty riffs, harsh beats and sickening screams!
Nowt are a Huddersfield based Sludge/Doom four-piece, comprising Phil Wheldon on guitars, Dean
Wilkes on bass, Christian Lemanski on vocals and David Wootton on drums.
All members of Nowt unite in their passion for heavy, twisted, slow and distorted metal, whilst also
diversifying considerably in their tastes. Notable influences are Charger, Sleep, Khanate, Crowbar,
Corrupted and Grief. Influential genres also include NWOBHM, Industrial, Prog., Black Metal and
Hardcore/ Punk.
Sonically, Nowt trade in the currency of slow, super-fuzzed, filthy noise with no discernable frills
around the edges. The band like it LOUD always, weaponising amps and PA systems throughout the
realm.
Nowt anticipate entering the studio
in the summer of 2024, to yet again violate the sonisphere with bucketloads of noisey, zombie
filthcore.
SoulGrief are an extreme Metal band from Halifax, West Yorkshire. Drawing on the themes of loss, torment and eroticism, SoulGrief condenses the universal anguish of the human condition into aural instillations. Taking influences from the 90s Norwegian black metal scene and more experimental elements from contemporary bands, they mix powerful riffs with cries of suffering to create a cathartic musical experience. Containing members from the harsh electronic act ‘Machine Wraith’ and numerous underground metal projects, the band are not strangers to live performance. Shadowvale from Nottingham are born from a desire to merge doom-metal vibes with a sludge-metal and hardcore edge, we are spreading their "lost in the woods on a bad trip" sound to all who will partake.
