About this Event

How Session Pricing Works

To make our programs accessible, we offer a discounted rate for students who join multiple sessions.

  • If you register for three or more sessions, each session is $65.
  • If you register for one or two sessions, each session is $95.

We use two separate ticket types to reflect these pricing levels. Please ensure you select the ticket type that matches the number of sessions you are registering for. Choosing the incorrect tier may require us to cancel the order and ask you to re‑register using the correct option.

A Byte of 1-Day High School Camp Series
A Byte of Arduino

Code doesn’t have to stay trapped inside a computer screen! In this hands-on workshop, we’re exploring "physical computing" by using an Arduino, a tiny, beginner-friendly computer, to make electronics talk to your code. It’s perfect for tinkerers, builders, and anyone curious about how smart devices actually work. You'll learn how to safely wire up miniature circuits on a breadboard, connect LEDs, push-buttons, and sensors, and write simple C++ code to make lights blink and spin motors. If you love the idea of bringing your code into the real world, this workshop is an incredible stepping stone into exciting fields like robotics, electrical or mechanical engineering, and product design.

Byte of Python

Have you ever wanted to create your own digital art using just a few lines of code? In this 5-hour workshop, you'll get hands-on with Python, and use the Turtle library to draw cool shapes, patterns, and designs on screen. We'll start from the very basics and build your skills up step by step. Along the way, you'll pick up core coding concepts while watching your creations come to life in real time. Come ready learn how science and art can mix together!

A Byte of Terminal

When you see hackers in movies typing furiously on a black screen with green text, they aren't using a mouse, they are using the Terminal! While we won't be hacking any mainframes, we will teach you the secret language of your computer in a way that is fun, welcoming, and completely beginner-friendly. Putting the mouse away for the day, you will learn how to navigate your system, create folders, and edit code using only your keyboard and text commands. We'll introduce you to Vim, a legendary text-based code editor, and Git with GitHub, the ultimate "save button" that professionals use to track and share their projects. By the end of the day, you’ll feel like a total tech wizard, giving you a head start if you ever want to explore cybersecurity, data science, artificial intelligence, or really anything with a computer.

Byte of Thunkable

Ever wanted a best friend that fits right in your pocket? In this workshop, you'll learn how to build your very own mobile app can bring your digital companion to life! Using block-based coding, we'll explore beginner-friendly concepts in front-end design, from layouts to interactive buttons. No coding experience needed, just bring your creativity and curiosity! By the end, you'll have walked through a full app design cycle and have a fun, pocket-sized friend to show for it.

A Byte of Web Dev

Have you ever wondered how your favorite websites are actually built? You don’t need to be a coding expert to create something awesome online. In this beginner-friendly workshop, we’re ditching drag-and-drop website builders to write the actual code behind the web. Just in time for summer, you’ll learn the core building blocks of the internet (HTML and CSS) to structure, style, and customize a digital portfolio. Whether you might want to explore software engineering, user experience (UX) design, digital marketing, or graphic design in the future, this workshop is the perfect place to start building your own piece of the internet.
